i’m behind on these. so there will be a number of primate posts coming up today and tomorrow. get amped.

this is the golden  headed langur or Cat-Ba Langur:

there are only about 65 of these babies left and the World Conservation Union lists them as one of the most critically endangered species on the planet. they only occur on the island of Cat Ba in notheastern Vietnam where they are heavily poached for use in traditional medicines. they are folivorous frugivores who can consume toxic plansts that are inedible to most other organisms. visit the Cat Ba Langur Conservation Project Site if you want more information on what is being done to save them.

colors to thrill

i have come to my senses and realize the coffee table from CB2 is not a contender. howevs, what’s becoming apparent is that i’m very interested in colors right now. could it possibly be a reaction to the grey, black, and white urban scenescape of late January?

here’s some of the things i’ve been thrilled by in the past few days.

i think i’m ready for spring. and to think that tomorrow is groundhog day. ugh. that fucker better not see its shadow.

it would be another pops of lemon yellow i’ve going on in the dining room:
